If you are already registered, it is important that you check the University of Alicante intranet regularly. You will have access to the UAcloud platform from the University website with your institutional email account and password.
In UACloud, you will be able to access Moodle, our e-learning management software, where the teaching staff will provide you with the materials for each subject. A folder with teaching material will be accessible for you, with forms and documentation to prepare your Master’s Thesis.
In addition, we will be sharing with you relevant information on this master’s degree through this platform.
The Master’s compulsory subjects worth 3 credits, that is, about 30 hours, of which 15 hours will be given in in-person practical sessions.
We will provide the timetables for the new academic year well in advance of enrolment. However, classroom sessions are usually held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening. There may be some exception.
Please, click here to check timetables and classrooms for the current academic year. They will be updated once they have been approved, usually at the beginning of June.
You will see that the timetables include theory hours, but this is only for guidance purposes, as these are asynchronous only sessions. This approach allows students to prepare the material without being subject to a timetable before the practical classes.
However, it is highly recommended that you attend the practical sessions. In fact, attendance can be considered as compulsory. This condition will be stated in the “evaluation” section of the course guides of the subjects.
As shown on the timetables, 10 subjects are taught in the first term (five in the first weeks and another five afterwards) and the rest in the second term.
All subjects will be marked after a continuous assessment and a final exam that is usually taken in the ordinary examination period, except for the optional subject “work placement” (as this is an internship in companies).
There are two evaluation periods: the regular period takes place at the end of each term. The special period takes place in July for all subjects, except for the Master’s Thesis (TFM), whose special evaluation period is in September.
There is a course guide for each subject with comprehensive information, including an assessment section. These course guides are available before enrolment, on the Master’s website, in the “Curriculum” section.
The flipped classroom model will be the learning method used in this Master’s degree; that is, the materials provided by the lecturers through Moodle must be read and prepared by the students before the practical classes.
The TFM is the last subject of a Master’s degree, which means that, in order to pass it, you must have passed all the subjects.
Once you have enrolled, you will have to select the thematic lines and sort them out according to your preference in UAproject. UAproject is a management programme available in UAcloud.
The Master’s Thesis is defended in front of a panel in a public event.
You can find all the information on the TFM on this page.
